The Federal Trade Commission has taken aim at Amazon, suing the e-commerce giant for allegedly manipulating its advertising auctions to drive up prices for advertisers.

The FTC and 22 states have filed a lawsuit against Amazon, claiming that the company raised minimum prices in certain ad auctions and used other practices that caused advertisers to pay more than they otherwise would have.

This move comes as commerce media companies are making their pitches for ad dollars, with some turning to AI-powered solutions to gain an edge in the market.
