Fujitsu Frontiers Surge Past IBM Big Blue in XLeague Premier
The Fujitsu Frontiers pulled away from the IBM Big Blue in the second half of their XLeague Premier matchup, securing a 41-19 victory on Sunday.
In the third quarter, Fujitsu WR Kazuki Kimura scored on a 99-yard kickoff return, immediately restoring his team's cushion and swinging momentum back to the Frontiers.
Tsubasa Takagi then took over, firing touchdown passes on each of Fujitsu's next two possessions as the Frontiers turned a 21-19 battle into a comfortable 41-19 win.
Fujitsu quarterback Tsubasa Takagi completed 21 of 34 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns, with tight end Daniel Barker doing most of the damage. Barker hauled in five passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns, earning game MVP honors.
