Gadsden State Lands $200K Grant to Expand Dental Assisting Facility

Gadsden State Community College has received a significant boost to its Dental Assisting program thanks to a $200,000 grant from The Home Depot's Retool Your School Campus Improvement Grant.

The college is one of only 10 institutions nationwide selected for the grant in 2026, and it will use the funds to expand and modernize its existing Dental Assisting facility at the Valley Street Campus.

The improvements will include enclosing an existing patio to create additional space for students and community use, as well as dedicated areas for studying, collaboration, meal breaks, advising, equipment, and program operations.

The project also aims to enhance ADA-compliant accessibility, energy efficiency, and safety features within the facility.
