GE Aerospace Fixes GE9X Engine Issue, Clearing Path for Boeing 777X Entry

GE Aerospace has addressed a durability issue with its GE9X engine's mid-seal, and according to Chief Financial Officer Rahul Ghai, this will not delay the entry of Boeing's 777X into service next year. Speaking at a Morgan Stanley conference, Ghai stated that GE had started shipping redesigned GE9X engines with the new mid-seal to Boeing in the third quarter.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification for the redesigned part is expected within the next few months. This development suggests that the production and delivery of the 777X will continue on schedule, despite the initial issue with the engine's mid-seal.
