GE Vernova and IBM Lead Mega-Cap Movers as Market Sees Significant Shift

The stock market experienced significant movements on Friday, influenced by a mix of news and market dynamics. Among the notable movers were GE Vernova and IBM, both of which saw their shares increase by over 3%.

GE Vernova led the mega-cap movers with a gain of 3.15%, while IBM followed closely behind at 3.02%. These companies are among the largest in the market, with market caps exceeding $200 billion.

In addition to these large-cap companies, several smaller firms also experienced significant gains. ACV Auctions, for example, saw its shares surge by 44.53% after news broke of a potential acquisition by Copart. Frequency Electronics also rose sharply, increasing by 35.19% on the back of record revenue.

On the other hand, some stocks declined in value, including Telos Corp and CPI Card Group Inc, which fell by 12.82% and 16.83%, respectively.
