Gehring Returns to The Coca-Cola Company as North America President
The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Rob Gehring as its new president of North America, effective December 1. Gehring will take over from interim president John Murphy, who will remain president and chief financial officer. Gehring previously served as CEO, Americas, at Monster Energy Co. and held various roles within the beverage industry.
Gehring has a long history with The Coca-Cola Company, having joined in 1992 in sales and marketing positions. He later became president of the Coca-Cola Walmart global team from 2011 to 2016. Henrique Braun, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, praised Gehring's leadership abilities, stating: 'Rob is a transformational leader whose exceptional ability to develop and lead people, combined with his deep operations experience, has made him a trusted partner across our system.'
Gehring's appointment marks his return to the company after previously holding various roles within it.
