Google has expanded access to its Gemini AI assistant by making it available on Android Go devices. The move aims to bring advanced AI capabilities to millions of budget users worldwide.

The company has started rolling out Gemini Go to Android Go smartphones with at least 2GB of RAM, marking a significant shift in Google's AI strategy. Until recently, premium smartphones were required for advanced AI experiences due to their powerful processors and large amounts of memory.

Gemini Go delivers core AI assistant functionality while making some compromises to ensure smooth performance on lower-end hardware. It supports features such as AI-powered text assistance, question answering, writing help, basic productivity features, and conversational interactions through Gemini.
