Gemini in Chrome Lands on Android for US Users
Google has rolled out Gemini integration in Chrome for Android users in the US. This feature was previously available on iOS and is now accessible to Android users running version 12 or higher with at least 4GB of RAM.
To access Gemini, users can tap the icon or the three-dot menu on their device's top bar. When summoned, the chatbot will appear as a floating box over the opened browser tab.
Gemini summarizes long articles, answers questions about web pages, and connects with Google apps like Calendar and Keep without requiring users to switch between tabs. It also allows customization and generation of images using Nano Banana.
Additionally, Gemini in Chrome supports Auto Browse, a feature that enables the browser to perform multi-step tasks on its own, including ordering online, booking tickets, or planning a vacation. However, this feature is currently restricted to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
