Generac Soars on $8 Billion Amazon Deal
Generac Holdings (GNRC) shares surged more than 30% after securing an agreement to supply backup generators for Amazon's expanding data center network.
The deal, worth up to $8 billion, includes initial deliveries of about $2.4 billion in 2027 and 2028. As part of the agreement, Generac issued a warrant that could allow an Amazon affiliate to acquire up to 1.69 million shares, with some vested immediately and others tied to future generator purchases.
Analysts say the size of the agreement may support Generac's ongoing manufacturing expansion and strengthen visibility into future demand, potentially leading to earnings benefits as deliveries ramp up and data-center orders increase.
