Generac Stock Skyrockets on Massive Amazon Data Center Deal
Generac Holdings Inc., the power equipment manufacturer behind Generac (GNRC) stock, saw its shares skyrocket 35% in premarket trading Thursday after revealing a multi-year supply contract with Amazon to provide backup generators for data center operations.
The agreement includes initial deliveries worth $2.4 billion scheduled for 2027 and 2028, translating to approximately $1.2 billion annually, or roughly 29% of Generac's 2025 total revenue of $4.2 billion.
As part of the deal, Amazon receives an equity warrant to purchase up to 1.69 million GNRC shares at a price of around $201 per share, which would account for about 2.6% of the company's fully diluted share count.
