Generali Investments Boosts Stake in Caterpillar Amid Strong Earnings

General Investment Management Co LLC has significantly increased its stake in Caterpillar Inc., acquiring an additional 1,606 shares of the industrial products company's stock during the second quarter.

The firm now owns a total of 2,814 shares of Caterpillar's stock, valued at approximately $3 million as per their most recent SEC filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

This increase in holdings is part of a broader trend where several large investors have modified their stakes in Caterpillar. Axxcess Wealth Management LLC boosted its holding by 2.8% during the fourth quarter, while Juno Financial Group LLC and DSG Capital Advisors LLC acquired new positions in shares of Caterpillar during the same period.

Caterpillar's recent earnings report was a major highlight for investors, with the company beating analysts' expectations with $8.17 earnings per share for the quarter. The industrial products company also announced an increase in its quarterly dividend to $1.63 per share, up from $1.51 previously.
