Georgia Ranks Number One State for Businesses Again
Georgia has secured its position as the top state in the country for businesses, according to Area Development magazine. The state ranked number one across 15 categories, including skilled labor and government responsiveness, based on evaluations by nearly 50 leading site consultants.
This achievement highlights Georgia's consistent success in fostering a business-friendly environment, said the magazine. The state's ranking is particularly notable given its strong performance in speed to market.
The Home Depot has been recognized for its role in transforming the home improvement industry, with a new historical marker commemorating the company's Atlanta roots. Founded in 1978 and opening its first stores in Atlanta the following year, The Home Depot is the 29th company to be honored through the Georgia Business History Initiative.
