Georgia Women Sentenced for Stealing $10 Million from Amazon

Two women from Georgia have been sentenced for their involvement in a massive fraud scheme against Amazon. Brittany Hudson was handed down a sentence of over 16 years in federal prison, while her partner Kayricka Wortham received her sentence last year.

Hudson and her accomplice engineered the scam to deceive Amazon out of nearly $10 million between January and June 2022. During this period, they submitted over a thousand fake vendor invoices to Amazon, claiming reimbursement for goods and services that did not exist.

Prosecutors claim that the women used the stolen funds to purchase luxury items, including a Lamborghini and a Porsche. When Hudson was released on bond, she continued her attempts to defraud another company by forging a federal judge's signature.

The U.S. Attorney, Theodore S. Hertzberg, stated that Hudson showed 'utter contempt for the law' in her actions. The pair has been ordered to repay Amazon and forfeit their ill-gotten gains, which include their home and $3 million in assets.
