GFiber Technician Arrested for Allegedly Sending Customer's Private Video

A 37-year-old internet installer has been arrested in Irvine, California, for allegedly sending himself a customer's private sexually explicit video during an internet installation.

The incident occurred on August 2 when GFiber, formerly Google Fiber, installed internet service in a woman's apartment. The technician, Logan Edward Gray-McCannon, working as a contractor with ITC Service Group Acquisition, now known as ASL Intergria, asked to use the customer's cellphone to 'test the Wi-Fi' signal.

The woman reported that after 10-15 minutes, she checked on the installer but couldn't see what he was doing with the phone. Later, she discovered that a sexually explicit video she had previously sent to her partner via text message had also been sent from her phone to another device through iMessage.

Although the message had been deleted from her phone, it was found on her linked iPad. The woman determined the phone number associated with the message belonged to Gray-McCannon. Police arrested him at his home on September 11.
