Gilead's Trodelvy Combo Therapy Fails to Impress in Lung Cancer Trial

Merck and Gilead Sciences have announced the discontinuation of their Phase 3 trial for the lung cancer treatment, Trodelvy combined with Keytruda.

The decision was made after reviewing data from the pre-specified final analysis of progression-free survival and interim analysis of overall survival by an external Data Monitoring Committee.

A numerical improvement in progression-free survival was observed, but it did not reach statistical significance. The probability of achieving statistically significant overall survival is unlikely at the planned final analysis.
