Glenview Trust Co Buys $165 Million Stake in Amazon.com
A major update in Amazon.com's (AMZN) ownership landscape has been reported. According to its latest Form 13F filing, Glenview Trust Co acquired a new stake in the e-commerce giant in the second quarter. The fund bought 693,311 shares of AMZN stock, valued at approximately $165,244,000.
This is not an isolated instance of increased institutional interest in Amazon.com. Silvant Capital Management LLC and Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio also bought new stakes in the company during the same period, with values of $60,065,000 and $909,868,000 respectively. Gryphon Financial Partners LLC and First Citizens Bank & Trust Co increased their positions in AMZN by 7.5% and 1.7% during the first quarter.
Amazon.com accounts for approximately 1.6% of Glenview Trust Co's holdings, making it the company's 15th largest position. The e-commerce giant has a market capitalization of $2.69 trillion and a PE ratio of 20.09.
