Global Brands Report Strong Earnings in China Amid Localization Efforts
Global brands like Apple, Adidas, L'Oréal, and Coca-Cola reported strong quarterly earnings in China, driven by robust consumer demand. According to their latest financial reports, these companies saw significant growth in the Chinese market.
Coca-Cola's revenue rose 7% to $13.38 billion in the second quarter, with a net income increase of 17% to $4.438 billion. The company credited localization efforts, including reformulating its Sprite + Tea for Chinese consumers and investing in green production bases.
Adidas posted record quarterly sales, with currency-neutral revenues up 14% to 6.7 billion euros ($7.73 billion). In China, the company saw a 15% increase in sales in the quarter and 16% in the first half.
L'Oréal reported record first-half sales of 23.77 billion euros, with North Asia contributing significantly to its growth. The company's Professional Products division experienced double-digit growth in China.
