Global Outage Hits Salesforce Customers During Dreamforce
Salesforce's annual conference Dreamforce 2026 was marred by a global outage that affected customers on its second day. The disruption hit multiple regions, causing severe delays, intermittent errors, and service outages for several hours.
The issue was attributed to login infrastructure problems, with hundreds of instances listed on Salesforce's Trust site. Customers experienced trouble creating new support cases during the incident, and API integrations repeatedly triggered alarms in some cases.
Salesforce engineers initially tested rolling restarts but reported increased load on a core system component. A fix was validated on a test instance by 3:56 a.m. PDT, and a fleetwide rollout began shortly after.
