Gloucestershire Man Charged Over Homophobic Abuse at Brighton Football Match
A man from Gloucestershire has been charged following an incident of homophobic abuse at a recent Brighton vs Leeds football match. The game took place on September 5th at the American Express Community Stadium.
Sussex Police confirmed that a man was arrested in connection with the incident and later charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
Alexander Bishop, 55, of Martlet Way, Brockworth, Gloucester, has been charged. He is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on December 3rd.
