Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon has disclosed that he personally owns 'very little' Bitcoin (BTC), despite the bank's significant indirect exposure to cryptocurrencies. Speaking at the World Liberty Forum, Solomon stated that he is 'still trying to figure out how Bitcoin behaves.'

The admission comes as Goldman's regulatory filings show around $2.36 billion in indirect crypto exposure through U.S.-based spot ETFs, including positions in Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP), and Solana (SOL). The bank holds approximately 13,740 BTC, valued at roughly $1.7 billion at the close of the quarter but now worth an estimated $920 million after a nearly 50% decline.

Solomon's personal admission contrasts with Goldman's earlier institutional posture on Bitcoin, which was characterized as a speculative asset with limited utility by the bank's research teams just a few years ago. The gap between Solomon holding 'very little' Bitcoin personally and the firm carrying $2.36 billion in crypto-linked ETF exposure highlights the tension Wall Street faces as digital assets move deeper into regulated financial products.
