Goldman Sachs Boosts Biotech Holdings to $75 Million Across CAPR, SLS and IBRX
Goldman Sachs has significantly increased its stakes in three biotech companies: Capricor Therapeutics (CAPR), Sellas Life Sciences (SLS), and ImmunityBio (IBRX). The investment firm now holds a combined $75 million worth of shares across these companies.
The largest increase was in CAPR, where Goldman boosted its stake by 73% to 1.58 million shares valued at $38 million. Capricor is planning to amend its Biologics License Application (BLA) for Deramiocel after the FDA indicated it would review additional Hope-3 data.
Meanwhile, Goldman added 29,122 SLS shares, increasing its stake by 5.2% to 585,035 shares worth $8.64 million. Sellas is awaiting the completion of its Phase 3 Regal trial for Galinpepimut-S (GPS) in acute myeloid leukemia patients.
Goldman's stake in IBRX remains nearly unchanged at 3.23 million shares valued at $28.32 million. ImmunityBio's commercial momentum is accelerating around Anktiva, with second-quarter net product revenue increasing 92% year-over-year and 15% sequentially to a record $50.7 million.
