Goldman Sachs Boosts Synchrony Financial to Buy with $87 Price Target
Synchrony Financial (SYF), a leading financial services company, has received a buy rating from Goldman Sachs. The analyst set a price target of $87.00, which is higher than the current market value of $72.67 per share.
This is not the first positive assessment of Synchrony Financial's prospects. Barclays' Terry Ma also issued a buy recommendation on September 15, although BTIG had previously maintained a hold rating on the company.
The latest earnings report for the quarter ending June 30 showed revenue of $4.69 billion and a net profit of $885 million. In comparison to last year's figures, which were $4.71 billion in revenue and $967 million in net profit, Synchrony Financial's financial performance appears to be stable.
