Goldman Sachs Bulks Up Its Stake in German Chemicals Giant LANXESS AG

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. has made significant changes to its holdings in LANXESS AG, a German-based chemical company.

Pursuant to Article 40 of the WpHG (German Securities Trading Act), The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. has filed a notification with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on September 28, 2026, stating that it had acquired shares in LANXESS AG.

The company now holds approximately 0.97% of the voting rights attached to shares in LANXESS AG through direct ownership, as well as an additional 4.05% through various instruments such as swap agreements and call warrants.

The acquisition was made on September 22, 2026, marking a significant increase from its previous holdings of 0.92%.
