Goldman Sachs' European Private Credit Strategy Tops $10 Billion
Goldman Sachs Alternatives' European private credit strategy has exceeded $10 billion in total assets, according to the firm. This milestone was reached in August, marking significant growth since its launch in October 2023. The figure includes leverage and the fair value of private and liquid credit investments.
The GSEC strategy primarily focuses on directly originated, floating-rate loans for companies located in Europe. It invests alongside Goldman Sachs' closed-end European senior direct lending funds and follows a buy-and-hold approach.
Over 400 companies are represented in the portfolio, with more than 100 of those being private credit loans to companies in Europe. Investors include institutions, wealth distributors, family offices, private wealth clients, and Goldman Sachs employees.
