Goldman Sachs Hits $10 Billion Private Credit Milestone

Goldman Sachs has reached a significant milestone in its private credit strategy. The firm's Goldman Sachs Alternatives announced that its evergreen European private credit strategy, known as GSEC, had surpassed $10 billion in total assets by September 24, 2026.

The strategy was launched in October 2023 and has exposure to over 400 companies, including private credit loans to more than 100 companies. As of the announcement, Goldman Sachs Asset Management said that GSEC is part of its $230 billion credit alternatives business.

In weekend trading on October 3, 2026, Goldman Sachs stock was trading at EUR 802.40, a slight increase from the prior close of EUR 802.20. This represents a gain of 0.02 percent.
