Goldman Sachs Launches $100B Treasury Fund on Avalanche's Lynq Platform
Avalanche has secured a major partnership with Goldman Sachs, one of the largest and most established traditional asset managers in the world. The financial giant is planning to offer its $100B flagship Treasury fund through Lynq, a private permissioned Avalanche L1 used by over 30 institutional digital asset firms. This move allows these institutions to put their cash to work and earn yield between trades while remaining on-chain.
The setup is designed specifically for vetted institutional participants rather than public DeFi users, thanks to Lynq's permissioned design. This means that only approved parties will be able to access the fund through Lynq, addressing a practical workflow: cash that would otherwise sit idle between positions can stay on-chain and generate yield.
This integration ties Avalanche's infrastructure to a large traditional asset manager's distribution channel and to a network of institutional firms already operating on the L1. While it remains to be seen how much institutional cash will actually move through Lynq after launch, this partnership marks a significant step forward for Avalanche in terms of its adoption by traditional finance.
