Goldman Sachs MD Joins Citadel Securities' Hardware Engineering Team

Mayan Moudgill, a semiconductor architect and former MD at Goldman Sachs, has joined Citadel Securities as a senior software engineer. In his previous role at Goldman Sachs, he spent five years working in the bank's engineering division. Before that, he was chief architect and CTO of Sandbridge Technologies for seven years.

Moudgill is credited with over 100 patent filings dating back to 1996, many related to multithreading. His later patents involved a 'neural network accelerator.'

Citadel Securities has a robust hardware engineering team focused on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). The firm offers base salaries of up to $350k for FPGA engineers in current open job listings.
