Goldman Sachs Puts Burlington Stores in Top Picks List with $382 Price Target
Burlington Stores stock has been added to Goldman Sachs' top picks list, according to CNBC. The investment bank set a price target of USD 382 for Burlington's shares, representing a potential increase of 39% from its current level.
The addition of Burlington to the list comes as the company continues to grow its store count and expand its operations. As of August 1, 2026, Burlington had 1,287 locations worldwide, up from 1,138 in the previous year.
However, the company's recent earnings report showed a sales miss, with revenue coming in at USD 3 billion for the second quarter, below the estimated USD 3.03 billion. Despite this, Burlington's adjusted EPS beat expectations by 35.4%, and its adjusted EBITDA also exceeded estimates.
The Goldman Sachs analyst who added Burlington to the list cited store growth, localization, and cost efficiencies as key factors supporting the company's future performance. However, the report also noted that warmer weather and higher oil prices had contributed to pressure on the shares during the previous three months, highlighting the importance of earnings trajectory.
