Goldman Sachs Scales Back Almonty Industries Amid Global Expansion
Almonty Industries is navigating a critical juncture where its operational momentum is being met with caution from Goldman Sachs, which initiated coverage of the company with a 'Neutral' rating and a price target of USD 13.00.
The shares fell 7.7% to EUR 11.05 on the day, in contrast to earlier enthusiasm from D.A. Davidson, which reaffirmed its buy recommendation with a USD 33.00 price target, citing Almonty's push into East Africa as the catalyst.
Almonty's operational foundation has been firming up across three regions: South Korea, where it recently launched commercial tungsten production; Europe, where it signed a multi-year take-or-pay supply agreement with Wolfram Bergbau und Hütten AG; and East Africa, where it formed a joint venture with the Rwandan government.
The company's valuation has climbed alongside its operational progress, with a current market capitalization of EUR 2.73 billion and a stock gain of 51% since the start of the year.
