Cim Investment Management Inc. acquired 1,761 new shares of The Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE:GS) in the second quarter, valued at around $1.78 million, according to its most recent Form 13F filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

This is not an isolated incident, as other institutional investors have also made adjustments to their holdings of the company. QRG Capital Management Inc., for example, grew its stake in The Goldman Sachs Group by 13.2% in the second quarter and now owns approximately $74.37 million worth of shares.

The acquisition by Cim Investment Management Inc. is a significant development, as institutional investors have been increasing their stakes in GS in recent quarters. As of now, 71.21% of the company's stock is owned by these investors.
