Goldman Sachs Sees Humanoid Robotics Market Reaching 6.5M Units by 2035
Goldman Sachs has updated its forecast for the humanoid robotics market, predicting that approximately 6.5 million units will be shipped by 2035.
This would create a potential US$138 billion opportunity, marking a sharp increase from earlier estimates and highlighting the shift towards physical AI systems that can perceive, reason, and act in real-world settings.
The updated outlook matters for retail investors because it points to expanding demand across logistics, warehousing, and automotive applications, with shipments expected to grow from roughly 75,000 units in 2026 to 890,000 by 2030 before scaling to 6.5 million by 2035.
Amazon, Tesla, and NVIDIA each target distinct parts of the robotics stack, from warehouse deployment to humanoid platforms and supporting AI infrastructure.
