Goldman Sachs Sees Surge in ETF Buying Activity
Goldman Sachs (GS) shares saw significant buying activity from exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on September 25, with $64.6 million in net purchases.
The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) led the charge, adding $30.5 million of Goldman Sachs stock to its holdings. This was followed closely by the SPY and XLF ETFs, which added $14.6 million and $14.3 million, respectively.
This marks a shift in trend for GS, as ETFs were net sellers on September 24, with outflows totaling $53.3 million. However, it's worth noting that the recent trend has been mostly selling, with GS being net sold by ETFs on three of the last five reported days.
