Nvidia's massive $500 billion AI financing plan is gaining momentum as Goldman Sachs steps up efforts to attract institutional investors.

The Wall Street bank, which has a long history with Nvidia, is in discussions with potential investors and could play multiple roles in the financing initiative, including providing junior capital and arranging private credit.

Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang has indicated that the company could provide a backstop of up to 25% of the total funding, or $125 billion, to support the growth of AI infrastructure.

The plan aims to make it easier for companies, governments, and cloud providers to access the computing capacity needed for advanced AI systems, which require enormous amounts of capital to build and operate.
