Google Adds Chat Themes to Messages App
Google has finally updated its Messages app to include chat themes, allowing users to customize their chats. The update was announced in late August and is now available for users to try out.
The new feature allows users to change the background of their chats as well as the color of messaging bubbles for individual RCS chats. This means that users can choose from a variety of colors or backgrounds, including animals, architecture, landscapes, sunsets, or space, to personalize their chats.
To access the chat theme customization options, users will need to head into a chat and tap on the three vertical dot menu at the top right. From there, they can select 'Chat theme' and choose from a range of color options or background images.
It's worth noting that the changes are only visible to the user themselves and do not affect how others see their chats. Additionally, Google requires users to use RCS messaging to access the chat themes feature.
