Google AdSense Drops Identity Verification Threshold to Zero
Google AdSense has relaxed its identity verification requirements, lowering the threshold from $10 to $0. The change was reflected in an updated help document on the Google website.
According to the documentation, the new threshold applies globally, and users must verify their identity before their account can display ads and receive payments from AdSense. This requirement is in addition to the existing address verification process, which still has a $10 threshold.
The update also mentions that starting June 2026, users may need to provide a government-issued photo ID and potentially take a video selfie as part of the verification process. This additional step aims to confirm the accuracy of account information and prevent fraud.
