New data from Peec AI reveals that Google's AI Overviews are now displaying significantly more external links than before.

A recent analysis by Malte Landwehr found that between almost 0% and over 25% of AI Overviews contain external links, a stark contrast to previous trends where such links were rare or non-existent.

This shift in behavior has been noted by Landwehr as particularly striking, given the general trend of Google being less likely to link out in recent times.
