Google Analytics Launches Campaign Data Import Validation Report
Google Analytics has released a new report that provides advertisers with a row-by-row readout of whether uploaded cost, click, and impression figures actually attached to sessions measured by the platform.
The Campaign data import validation report is available in the Google Analytics Help Center release notes and provides three statuses for non-Google campaign data: 'Joined', indicating successful attachment; 'No campaign data', where spend records are missing; and 'No Analytics data', where spend records exist but behavioral records do not.
The report also includes a new metric called coverage rate, which measures the completeness of imported campaign data as the ratio of ad campaign data with associated performance data to total collected Analytics data.
According to Google's documentation, the report exists to help operators assess non-Google campaign data and pinpoint campaigns that lack useful performance data.
