McDonald's Couple Ties the Knot in Front of Customers
On Saturday, co-workers Jamie Callicoat and George Callicoat got married at their Northeast Ohio McDonald's restaurant. The ceremony took place in front of friends, family, fellow employees, and even a few unsuspecting customers.
Jamie, the manager at the restaurant, said that people tried to come into the lobby throughout the celebration, despite the dining room being closed to the public. She was still handing out extra sauces to an actual customer in her wedding dress during the ceremony.
The couple had initially planned a destination-style wedding but decided to tie the knot at their workplace instead after a district manager jokingly suggested it. The restaurant's crew members and managers came together to make the celebration special, providing dinner, a wedding cake, and other touches.
Guests were served pulled barbecue chicken, buffalo chicken dip, homemade rigatoni, and fried chicken, while kids ate fresh McDonald's food. Even the flower girl got a McDonald's touch by tossing petals from a Happy Meal box.
