Abbott and Google have teamed up to create a personalized health advice system using Abbott's Lingo biowearable device and Google's AI technology. The integrated features will allow users to view glucose trends alongside other health metrics in the Google Health app.

The partnership aims to help consumers make informed decisions about their health, especially as metabolic issues rise globally. By combining data from continuous glucose monitors with wearable devices and laboratory results, the companies hope to reveal links between activity, sleep, and metabolic health.

Abbott's Lingo is designed for people 18 or older who are not using insulin, providing personalized insights on how food, movement, and stress affect glucose levels. The system will also offer science-informed tips on adjustments for a healthier lifestyle.

Olivier Ropars, divisional vice president of Abbott's Lingo business, said: 'This research will help shape future AI-powered guidance and metabolic health innovation.'
