Google has introduced a suite of AI study tools to help students with their research and assignments. The new tools, available through the Gemini AI assistant and Google Search, include a study notebook, customized flash cards, practice quizzes, and more.

The dedicated student hub within Gemini allows students to ask questions and receive reports on complex topics, complete with interactive visuals and 3D simulations. Students can also generate quizzes based on specific prompts, such as 'Create a quiz with the most commonly tested vocabulary words for the SATs.'

Google is offering college students in the US a free year of Google AI Pro, which normally costs $20 per month. This plan includes increased usage limits in Gemini, access to other features, and 5TB of storage.
