Google Brings Back Contacts Tab to Phone App Navigation Bar

Google is working on rolling back one of its most recent changes to the Phone app.

The change in question is the removal of the Contacts tab from the navigation bar, which was a part of the Material 3 Expressive makeover last year.

A recent APK teardown of the Phone by Google app (v240.0.986973448) has revealed that Google is working on bringing back the Contacts tab to its original place in the navigation bar.

The new placement would sit between the Home and Keypad tabs, giving users quick access to all their saved contacts.
