Google Brings Conversational Voice Control to Gmail, Docs, and Keep

Google is integrating its Gemini AI technology into Gmail, Docs, and Keep to create more conversational interfaces for users. This move brings voice conversations to these productivity apps, allowing users to search emails, create documents, and update notes by talking rather than typing.

Gmail Live is the most notable implementation of this feature, enabling users to ask questions about information buried in their inbox. For example, users can ask for an upcoming flight's gate number or what's happening at their child's school during the week. Gmail Live will then search relevant emails and respond conversationally.

However, this also raises concerns about accuracy, as the quality of the feature depends heavily on Gemini correctly identifying and interpreting the right messages. The feature is available globally in English for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
