Google Brings Gemini App to Windows With Instant Assistance

Google has released its Gemini app for Windows, expanding on its existing macOS version. The tool is designed to integrate seamlessly with other Windows apps and provide instant assistance wherever possible.

To access Gemini, users can press the Alt + Space keyboard shortcut, similar to how it works on macOS. This allows users to query information, fact-check documents, suggest ideas for presentations, or create images and videos using Nano Banana and Gemini Omni.

Gemini Spark, a 24/7 personal AI agent, is also available with the new app. With user permission, it can connect to compatible Google services such as Gmail and Google Drive, pulling information needed to draft an email or presentation.

Google claims its tool can run in the background without slowing down the PC, and that more native desktop capabilities will be rolled out over time.
