Google Builds 'Your Creations' Section for AI-Generated Apps

Google is working on a new section within the Play Store called 'Your creations,' where users can find and access apps they've created using AI Studio. This development was uncovered through an APK teardown of version 53.2.23-34 of the Play Store for Android.

The current implementation allows users to tap the 'Try it now' button, which opens up a browser and takes them to the mobile AI Studio site. However, once Google finishes implementing AI Studio within the Gemini app, as promised, this should change.

It's unclear what changes this new section could suggest for how AI Studio apps are published. Currently, publishing these apps requires registration and formal testing through the Play Console. The 'Your creations' screen may serve as a middle ground between sideloading and regular publication.
