Google Challenges EU Decisions on Android AI Access and Search Data Sharing

Google has launched litigation at the EU's lower-tier court to challenge two European Commission decisions regarding Android AI access and search data sharing. The company is contesting how it must give rival AI services greater access to its popular mobile operating system, as well as how it must share data with competing search providers under the bloc's digital gatekeeper rules.

The European Commission had specified in its decisions that Google must provide more comprehensive access to its Android platform for rival AI services and share certain types of search data with competing search providers. Google is still considering whether to request a stay on these decisions while it pursues full legal appeals.
