Google Charges Advertisers for Missed LSA Calls Over 20 Seconds
Google is updating its Local Services Ads (LSA) policy to charge advertisers for missed calls during business hours. Starting October 1, businesses will be charged for calls that last more than 20 seconds.
The change aims to limit robot calls and address spam call abuse. This means that if a customer stays on the line for over 20 seconds, even after being routed through an automated system, it will count as a valid lead.
Additionally, any follow-up calls between the business and the customer that meet Google's criteria will also be charged. However, businesses won't be charged if customers don't press the key to route them to a specific department.
