Google Cloud and Oracle Unite to Accelerate Enterprise AI Transformations
Google Cloud and Oracle have announced an unexpected partnership that could reshape how enterprises accelerate their AI transformations. The two companies, ranked as the number one and number two on the Cloud Wars Top 10, are coming together to offer each other's 'crown jewels' in this new alliance.
The partnership is significant given the impressive growth of both companies. Google Cloud had revenue of almost $25 billion for Q2, up an astonishing 82%, while its backlog soared 390% to $514 billion. Oracle, on the other hand, reported cloud revenue of almost $10 billion for the quarter ended May 31, a 47% increase.
Cloud Wars Founder Bob Evans believes this partnership will be a game-changer for customers and sets a precedent for future unexpected alliances in the industry. 'We're seeing lots of different combinations among the Cloud Wars Top 10 companies,' he says, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in meeting rapidly changing customer needs.
