Google Cloud Boosts Brazil Infrastructure Amid AI Adoption Surge
Google Cloud announced plans to double its technical infrastructure in Brazil by 2030 as part of an effort to support the country's growing demand for cloud services. The company expects to increase localized compute, storage, and high-performance AI processing capacity in response to rapid adoption of its Gemini Enterprise platform.
The platform, which enables organizations to build, deploy, and manage artificial intelligence (AI) agents, has seen significant traction in Brazil, with 62% of local companies implementing or accelerating AI agent adoption. However, only 17% have consolidated that adoption with the necessary levels of governance to adopt AI across multiple core processes.
To address this challenge, Google Cloud is introducing new capabilities across Gemini Enterprise and Data Cloud, including a dedicated space for employees to build and manage projects, a skills registry to govern skills across organizations, and an agent sandbox environment for secure testing and execution of code.
