Google Cloud Boosts Brazilian Computing Infrastructure
Google Cloud has announced plans to double its technical computing infrastructure in Brazil by 2030. This expansion is in response to surging local demand, according to Global CEO Thomas Kurian.
Kurian highlighted Latin America as Google's second-fastest-growing region, with Brazil being the primary market for this growth. The increased infrastructure will provide enhanced processing, storage, and high-performance AI capabilities locally.
Rather than relying solely on new data centre facilities, Google Cloud plans to leverage faster chips, improved connectivity, and other technologies to achieve its goals.
