Google Cloud Executive Jim Anderson Joins PVAMU as Presidential Executive-in-Residence
Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) has named Jim Anderson, vice president of North American Ecosystem at Google Cloud, as its second Presidential Executive-in-Residence. This prestigious program aims to connect classroom learning with the real-world experiences of accomplished leaders.
Anderson's residency begins on September 23rd with the Google HBCU Rise Summit, which will feature a fireside chat with President Tomikia P. LeGrande and student workshops for all PVAMU students. The summit also offers masterclasses for select courses, allowing students to earn Google certifications in AI Fundamentals and/or AI Advanced.
Anderson brings over 25 years of leadership experience from top tech companies like Google, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, and Dell. His career has focused on helping organizations leverage emerging technologies to drive growth. At Google, he played a key role in the company's Cloud business growth from approximately $5 billion to more than $30 billion in five years.
Through his residency, Anderson will help students explore how technology is transforming industries and what it takes to turn innovative ideas into scalable opportunities.
